The Newseum Institute serves as a forum for First Amendment study, exploration and education promoted through diverse initiatives such as the First Amendment Center, The Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference, and the Religious Freedom Center. Standing between the U.S. Capitol and the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue and featuring dramatic vistas of Washington, D.C., the Newseum has become one of the most sought-after venues in the area for conferences, weddings, movie premieres and special events. And with multiple state-of-the-art studios in house, programs of all kinds are broadcast around the world from the Newseum each week. There has been no time in American history when the importance of the First Amendment was more crucial to protecting our way of life. Through the museum in Washington, D.C., public programs and education initiatives, the Newseum’s board, staff, volunteers, donors and corporate partners are working together to make sure the First Amendment remains strong and protected, both today and for future generations of Americans.
